Cap Corse

Corsica in miniature – a narrow, mountainous peninsula where dramatic coastline, lively villages and authentic island atmosphere meet in one of the island’s most beautiful regions.

Cap Corse is a slender, mountainous peninsula stretching north from the main island of Corsica into the glittering Mediterranean. With its dramatic nature, rich history and living culture, the area is often described as “Corsica in miniature” – a place where the island’s character appears in concentrated form.

The peninsula reaches out into the sea like a finger and is shaped by steep mountains, deep valleys and a coastline that alternates between cliffs and hidden beaches. Monte Stello, at 1,307 metres, is the highest point and offers sweeping views over sea and landscape.

The villages have kept their authentic character. In Erbalunga you will find galleries and a lively jazz festival, while Centuri is known for lobster fishing and seafood restaurants.

Cap Corse – Corsica’s wild peninsula

The narrow peninsula north of Bastia is considered one of the most beautiful and authentic regions of Corsica. Here you will find dramatic cliffs, small fishing villages, historic watchtowers and sweeping views over the Mediterranean.

The coastal road winds past vineyards, old harbours and picturesque villages such as Nonza, known for its dramatic position high above the sea. The region is also known for its calm atmosphere, local markets and fresh seafood in the harbour villages.

Cap Corse is ideal if you want to experience a more traditional and scenic side of Corsica – far from the largest tourist areas, but full of atmosphere, views and genuine island life.
