My passion for France began long before Frankrike.no became a travel guide. From the late 1990s, I spent ten years building Korsika Ferie, a specialist travel company that grew because we knew the destination, its hotels and our customers in depth.
It was during this period that I acquired the frankrike.no domain, with the idea that France should one day have a strong Scandinavian travel guide offering more depth than traditional brochures and general booking sites. I wanted to create a place where readers would not merely find a destination, but understand why it might be right for them.
France is a country I never tire of exploring. Every region has its own rhythm, cuisine, history and landscape. Paris, Provence, Corsica, Bordeaux, Alsace, the Alps and the Riviera are not simply names on a map; they represent entirely different ways of experiencing the country.
Today we are building an editorial travel guide that helps Scandinavian and international travellers find the right destinations, experiences and hotels before they book. The aim is to make planning easier, more inspiring and more personal.
